Harsh Rakeshkumar Shah, DO

Harsh Shah, DO, is a board-certified physician in anesthesiology and pain medicine with Carolina Pines Medical Group Pain & Spine. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain conditions, including neck and back pain, sciatica, arthritis, joint pain, headaches, nerve-related pain and other complex pain conditions.

He offers a variety of treatment options, including targeted injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation and medication management. He takes a personalized approach to care, focusing on understanding each patient’s unique needs and developing treatment plans that help reduce pain, restore function and improve quality of life.

Dr. Shah believes effective pain management begins with listening. He is committed to helping patients feel heard, understand their treatment options and set realistic goals for regaining comfort and independence.

He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in Chronic Pain Medicine at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Shah enjoys spending time with his wife, family and friends and exploring the Carolinas.
