Illiyah P. Edwards, NP

Illiyah Edwards, DNP-s, MSN, RN, RNC-MNN, WHNP-BC is a board-certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner with Carolina Pines Medical Group Women's Care. She's dedicated to helping women feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout every stage of life. She provides compassionate, evidence-based care with a focus on building trusting relationships and partnering with patients to help them make informed decisions about their health.

Edwards earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Duke University and is currently completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). She has cared for women in a variety of clinical settings, including labor and delivery, postpartum, maternal-newborn care, gynecology, and primary care. She has also served as a clinical instructor at Duke University School of Nursing, mentoring future nurses while continuing to advance her own education.

Inspired by seeing women's concerns too often overlooked, Edwards is passionate about advocating for her patients and creating a welcoming environment where they feel comfortable discussing their healthcare needs. She takes a collaborative, holistic approach to care, recognizing that each patient's physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs are interconnected.

Outside of work, Edwards enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, trying new foods, listening to music, and planning her next adventure. She believes maintaining a healthy work-life balance allows her to bring energy, compassion, and perspective to every patient she serves.
